Building a Business Around Future Food: My Approach

I've been in business long enough to know timing is everything. Launch too early, you're ahead of the market. Too late, you've missed the opportunity.

With cultivated meat, we're at an interesting moment. The technology works. Regulatory approvals are starting to happen. The UK has even approved trials for pet food.

But we're not quite there yet. Which makes this the perfect time to start positioning yourself in the industry.

That's why I'm starting with content. Building understanding. Creating connections. Planting trees that might bear fruit later.

It's like any tech revolution - first comes the innovation, then the infrastructure, then the businesses that make it accessible to everyone.

The traditional meat industry has had thousands of years to build its systems. Cultivated meat is starting from scratch. That means opportunities at every level.

Sometimes the best business strategy is simply being ready when the moment arrives.
